Toyota Camry

Brief History

Toyota Camry is an automobile brand that has been internationally known for many generations starting since 1982, at first it was compact and narrow in design, but then it was changed to be mid-size.

Toyota has been a default car and pretty famous around the world, it sold over 19 million cars in 4 decades, also in the middle east it is easily regarded as one of the most popular cars to be bought. Many models came on this car.

The car’s market share has 33.1% of the middle-east market. It is truly an amazing economic day-to-day car.

Toyota Camry: specs and comparison

The all-new Toyota Camry 2019 is the first model that comes with an all-wheel-drive option which has been missing on the line-up since 1991.

It has a 2.5 L inline four-cylinder engine with a hybrid electric motor that produces 208 HPI with 8-speed automatic transmission, a top speed of 214 KMH can go from 0-100 KMH in 8.2 seconds.

One of the main features added in the Camry was a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed radar cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist, it is also the first Toyota car to have Entune 3.0 open-source system and many other add-on features.

But compared to other Toyota’s like Toyota corolla, so we will start on the first comparison:

Toyota Corolla

Compared to the Corolla, the new Toyota Corolla is a bit weaker in terms of the engine as it is the base-differences between the 2 models, Toyota Camry is a larger more expensive design than Corolla, the Toyota Corolla’s engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that gives 121 horsepower and a top speed of 196 KMH, it certainly is not as big as the Camry’s 2.5 liters and is not as fast, but it is the second in our line-up that is one of the most wanted or most popular cars in the middle-east market.

Toyota Land Cruiser

Both of the above cars do not come in even close to any of the luxury features or the pure raw performance, it is Toyota’s longest-running series since 1951. The Toyota Land Cruiser has an 8-speed automatic transmission with 381 horsepower, 5.7 liters V8 engine, the Toyota Land Cruiser can go from 0-100 KMH in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 228 KMH, and it has many features such as Bluetooth connectivity, 9.0-inch screen with navigation system, pre-collision detection, and adaptive cruise control and many others, which is awesome just like our next big in the line-up, just like the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Toyota Fortuner

Which is the Toyota Fortuner, it had 2 variants of its petrol engine, 2.7 liter that produces 160 HP and 4.0-liter engine that produces 235 HP, its 2.7 L engine has a top speed of 175 KMH and can reach from 0-100 KMH in 12 seconds, not that impressive when comparing the Toyota Fortuner to the mighty Land cruiser, but it can still the cut on its 4 L engine version.

Toyota Rush

Going down to our next comparison which is Toyota Rush, 1.5 four-cylinder engine that produces 109 horsepower with a top speed of 165 KMH, it is clear that this is a car that was not built for speed at all, however, it does have Apple - CarPlay and Android auto-plus, a touch screen and many other features in its HUD, so no need to rush the Toyota Rush, if you’re not in a hurry

Toyota Yaris

In our final line up, we will be checking out the new Toyota Yaris, it has also 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 106 horsepower, a top speed of 193 KMH and Toyota Yaris can reach from 0-100 KMH in 9 seconds, you won’t like it if you dislike underpowered engines but you would like it for sure if you like to drive regular sedans at a reasonable speed!

So we’re done with our comparisons, however, what we can recommend is that if you’re looking to find the best Toyota for you, it depends on what you’re looking for, if it’s just a regular car, then you might think about the Yaris, but if you’re into luxury AND a powerful engine, then you might choose the majestic Land Cruiser, which is the most expensive and the most powerful of the line-up if you’re looking to the best of the world of sedans, then you might want to check out the latest Toyota Camry, it all depends on your need and also your budget as Toyota Oman showrooms would give what you need from the best of what Toyota brand can offer!
