Vintage handmade decoration

It is made from a dried, hollowed-out fruit (the calabash). The intricate patterns are created through a technique called pyrography (burning the design into the skin with a hot tool) or by scratching and etching away the dark outer surface to reveal the lighter fiber underneath.
