Service Advisor & Garage Manager
Location: Sarker Maintenance Centre – Barka, Oman
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor & Garage Manager to oversee workshop operations, manage customer relationships, coordinate technicians, and ensure repair and maintenance jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in Arabic and English, possess strong automotive technical knowledge, diagnostic skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
* Greet customers and accurately record vehicle complaints.
* Explain diagnoses, repair recommendations, and costs.
* Prepare estimates, quotations, and job cards.
* Obtain repair approvals and provide progress updates.
* Handle customer concerns professionally.
* Follow up after repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Technical & Workshop Management
* Perform initial vehicle diagnosis and fault assessment.
* Assign jobs to mechanics based on skill level and workload.
* Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion.
* Support technicians in complex diagnostic cases.
* Conduct quality control checks before vehicle delivery.
* Ensure workshop productivity, efficiency, and cleanliness.
* Maintain proper workflow and minimize delays.
Parts & Inventory Coordination
* Identify and request required spare parts.
* Coordinate with the parts department for timely availability.
* Track parts usage and maintain accurate records.
* Manage warranty and defective parts claims when required.
Team Leadership
* Supervise mechanics, electricians, and workshop staff.
* Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance.
* Train and mentor staff on technical and customer service standards.
* Promote teamwork, discipline, and a professional work environment.
Reporting & Administration
* Maintain accurate repair orders and service records.
* Track open jobs and ensure proper documentation.
* Prepare daily and monthly workshop performance reports.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
* Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
Requirements
* Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
* Minimum 5 years of automotive workshop experience.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
* Experience using diagnostic tools such as Autel, Launch, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Japanese, Korean, American, and European vehicles.
* Excellent customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workshop management software.
